“ WOW, I am absolutely blown away. I've tried a lot of places on this strip and honestly this is the first time the hype was real. The fish and chips is some of the best I've ever had. I would have easily gotten full just from the two piece, but I splurged and got three. The prices are cheap for as much food as you get, it's insane. This is a family ran shop and it shows. The girl behind the counter was so nice and calm, I didn't feel rushed or stressed ordering. I highly recommend the Baja shrimp burrito, it was seriously some of the best food I've ever eaten. If you are anywhere close, don't pass up eating here. ”

“ I have never been a huge fan of cooked fish for most of my life, but good fish tacos and good fish and chips have changed that (as well as grilled whole fish like in Mexico). Fish 101 has GREAT food. The fish is perfect, and they made all the dishes and sides as good as any other place I have probably ever had. The fish tacos with the salsa are excellent. Highly recommend. The restaurant looks like a converted house complete with a covered back patio. It's all pretty cool and provides a unique atmosphere. ”

“ We’ve been coming here for years every time we vacation in the areas - multiple times each trip. It is THAT good. Mind-blowing how flavorful yet also fresh and healthy everything can be (although of course depends if you’re going grilled vs. fried route). There is nothing like this food in the Bay Area by us. If I lived here, it would be a weekly visit and I don’t think I’d get sick of it. Go there, eat fish, enjoy! ”

“ I have no idea where one is suppose to park to go here. The feeling is cabin in the woods or deck side grill, and the staff is attentive and kind. It would be adequate, except the fish and chips, I haven’t had fish fried that good since Ireland. The balsamic reduction on the Brussels was also exquisite. After a disappointment in lunch just yesterday, the amazingly crunchy fish and blackened Brussels, sweet and amazing for the price was spectacular. There is no large selection of soda beverages, though it did appear like they had a beer and wine selection that was reasonable. There is also self serve water in the back patio space. It was not obvious when ordering so I ended up with a can of Diet Coke I would have been happy to not have. I don’t know that I’ll make it back this trip, though on my next trip to San Diego I will likely pencil it in if I’m this far north. ”

“ No actual parking at the location of the restaurant due to construction currently going on. When you walk in grab a menu place your order and take a seat. I had the clam chowder and fish and chips with an iced tea. It was very good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come here again for lunch ”

We ordered a dozen oysters, a bowl of clam chowder, a poke bowl, three Baja fish tacos, and fish sticks with fries for our boys (2 and 5 years old). Everything we tried was delicious and clearly crafted with quality ingredients. The oysters were chilled and clean with a great ocean flavor, and the clam chowder was creamy, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. The poke bowl was light yet satisfying with a great mix of textures, and the fish tacos were crisp, flavorful, and well-balanced. Even the kids’ fish sticks and fries were a hit—crispy, tender, and just right for little appetites. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff was friendly, and everything felt clean and well cared for. We really appreciated the quality of the food. We look forward to coming back. ”
